Where Montana adventures begin—and end with a cold pint.

I was born in Denver, Colorado, and grew up in Boise, Idaho — two places that taught me to love both the mountains and the open sky. I’m a writer, real estate agent, and social media specialist who enjoys reading, cooking, gardening, and travel. I also have a fondness for Prosecco, fine food, skiing, running, snorkeling, and paddle boarding — anything that celebrates adventure, flavor, and connection.
David, an avid outdoorsman and teaching and playing golf professional, grew up in Mill Valley, California. His passions include fly fishing, bow hunting, golf, and downhill skiing. He also appreciates fine wine, craft cocktails, and the occasional cigar — savoring life with the same precision and ease that he brings to his golf game.
We raised our two kids in Bozeman, Montana, and now split our time between the Indian Wells desert, our fishing basecamp in Wolf Creek, Montana, and our lakeside retreat in McCall, Idaho. When we’re not in the desert or the mountains, we’re usually exploring somewhere new.
Some of our favorite destinations include London, Scotland, Italy, Paris, Spain, Mexico City, Zihuatanejo, the British Virgin Islands, the Bahamas, Tahiti, St. Lucia, the Oregon Coast— each one inspiring the way we design, host, and live.
Gone South Vacation Rentals was built for travelers who crave both adventure and comfort. Founded by hosts who split their time between the mountains and the desert, our brand is rooted in warm hospitality, elevated details, and a deep love for the outdoors. Our property portfolio includes:
